Emergency Department Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule / Shift

36 or 48 hours per week with rotating shifts including day, evening, and night, floating, weekends, holidays, on-call, and callback duties.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced team. Our state-of-the-art facility manages over 100,000 visits annually and is recognized as one of the busiest trauma centers in the country. The successful candidate will provide exemplary care to a diverse patient population and assist with border patients as necessary. Please note that this position is not suitable for first-time travelers.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Assist with managing and supporting patients facing a variety of urgent medical conditions.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN License in New York.
• Two (2) years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• Previous travel Emergency Room experience is necessary.
• Certifications in BLS and ACLS (both from the American Heart Association) are required.
• NIHSS certification is preferred.
