Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Shift: 2:30 PM - 3:00 AM

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The role requires flexibility due to floating between units and charge capability highly preferred. You will care for a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients. Common patient diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
• Monitor patients' conditions and administer medications as needed.
• Utilize specialty equipment, including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun, to provide advanced care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Perform triage duties as required and prioritize patient needs effectively.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the EMR system (EPIC).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department, with some pediatric experience preferred.
• Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC.
• Active New York RN license and license verification through NURSYS.
• Skills checklist must match the specialty.
• Valid driver's license with address that matches demographics.
