Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3 shifts per week, 12 hours each from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM. Every other weekend is required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and manage heart rhythm changes (dysrhythmias).
• Care for critically ill patients with multi-organ issues.
• Administer blood products and manage central lines.
• Start and maintain IVs and administer IV sedation and vasopressors.
• Provide care for stroke (CVA) and ventilated patients.
• Manage BiPAP/CPAP and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Follow isolation precautions and perform triage as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1.5 years of nursing experience; 2 years of recent ER experience required.
• Active RN license required (New York or compact); if no NY license, must have applied and provide application date.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS.
• No disciplinary issues on the nursing license.
