Job Description

The Staff Therapist, under the supervision of the Rehabilitation Services Director, is responsible for administering physical therapy to a diverse range of patients, from pediatric to geriatric, with the primary goal of enhancing functional abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assess and interpret evaluations and test results to determine physical therapy treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
• Administer manual exercises and instruct patients on performing therapeutic activities and using assistive devices.
• Deliver physical therapy treatments via various methods including hydrotherapy and ultrasound.
• Evaluate patient progress and recommend adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
• Complete discharge planning and ensure continuity of care through home exercise programs and equipment recommendations.
• Document patient care services accurately in patient and department records.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment while adhering to infection-control policies.
• Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to team training efforts.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Possession of a Physical Therapy License issued by the State of Colorado.
• BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of principles and methods for diagnosis and treatment of physical and mental dysfunctions.
