Schedule

All shifts available. This position will primarily be within the Intensive Care Unit, with periodic floating to the Emergency Department, Med/Surg, or Pediatrics as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide nursing care to critically ill patients, performing a variety of responsible nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments. The RN will work independently in completing assignments under established guidelines, including doctors' orders, standards of care, and hospital policies. Responsibilities include providing inpatient care and support in the 5-bed ICU to individuals of all ages and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Perform nursing procedures in adherence to hospital policies and standards of care.
• Support post-operative recovery for general surgery, pediatric, and OB patients as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of prior ICU experience.
• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Current valid unrestricted Professional Nursing License (RN) to practice in any state in the USA.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), to be completed within six months of hire.
• Completion of Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) within six months of hire.
