This is a 13-week contract position with shifts from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and directs patient/family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Birthplace. The Registered Nurse must be able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment, providing a safe environment for patients and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using nursing processes.
• Provide direct care to newborns and mothers during antepartum and postpartum periods.
• Direct and guide patient/family education and nursing personnel activities.
• Ensure a safe environment for patients and visitors.
• Utilize the chain of command to ensure patient well-being.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid nursing license required.
• Compliance with all health requirements including COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Varicella, and TB test.
• Completion of Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam, Core Competencies Exam, Skills Checklist, and Specialty Exam.
• Successful completion of a drug screening and criminal background check.
• Driver's license/state ID required.
