Registered Nurse - Birthplace

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves providing direct patient care within the scope of practice while directing and guiding patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel. The RN must maintain high standards of care in the Birthplace and respond promptly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response. Ensuring a safe environment for patients and visitors is a key responsibility, as well as utilizing the chain of command when necessary to safeguard patient well-being during the antepartum and postpartum periods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective patient care using nursing processes.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop appropriate care plans.
• Implement treatment plans and evaluate patient responses to care.
• Educate patients and families regarding health management and care protocols.
• Guide the activities of nursing personnel to ensure quality of care.
• Ensure compliance with established standards of care in the Birthplace.
• Maintain a safe and conducive environment for patients and visitors.

Schedule

This position offers a shift from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid Registered Nurse license.
• Certification in Basic Pharmacology and Core Competencies.
• Completion of required health history screenings and vaccinations.
• Driver's License/State ID for onboarding purposes.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
