Registered Nurse - Med/Surg

Schedule

This is a night shift position from 19:00 to 07:00, requiring four weekend days every four weeks. There is no on-call requirement.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg team. The unit provides care for 14-22 beds with a collaborative environment where all team members support one another. The nurse will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures, including cleft palate repair, appendectomy, and chest tube management.
• Manage patient conditions and participate in seizure management and lumbar punctures.
• Utilize Meditech EMR for documentation and patient records.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure effective patient flow and treatment.
• Support patients through non-invasive cardiology care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS and PALS certifications are required.
• ACLS certification is preferred.
• Experience in a similar Med/Surg environment is highly valued.
