Schedule

Night Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM, rotating weekends (day shift Saturday and Sunday, night shift Friday and Saturday)

Job Description

A dedicated and skilled Pediatric CVICU Registered Nurse is required for a specialized position in the pediatric cardiac intensive care unit. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate and high-quality care to critically ill patients, ensuring their safety and well-being while utilizing advanced medical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive care for ICU and step-down level patients.
• Managing care for patients with congenital heart disease and post-operative management.
• Performing central line and arterial line placements, intubation/extubation, and post-operative recovery of general and cardiac procedures.
• Monitoring patient vitals and responding to code situations, including ECMO cannulation and decannulation.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 1 year of Pediatric CICU/CVICU experience as a staff nurse.
• Minimum of 3-4 contracts in a dedicated pediatric CICU.
• At least 2 years of PICU experience as a staff nurse with the ability to manage arterial lines, central lines, and transthoracic lines.
• PALS, BLS, and ACLS certifications required.
• Preferred: 2 or more years of Pediatric CICU/CVICU experience and experience with caring for neonatal cardiac patients.
