Pediatric CVICU Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Night Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM, with rotating weekends.

Job Description

The Pediatric CVICU Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care for pediatric patients in critical condition, specializing in cardiac care. This position requires compassion, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit to work effectively in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to children with congenital heart disease and postoperative management.
• Monitor and assess patient health while managing arterial and central lines.
• Perform procedures including central line and arterial line placements, intubation, and post-operative recovery.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Support families in understanding their child’s care and condition.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of Pediatric CICU/CVICU experience as a staff nurse.
• 3-4 contracts in a dedicated Pediatric CICU.
• A minimum of 2 years of PICU experience.
• Experience with arterial lines, central lines, and management of patients with congenital heart disease.
• Certifications: PALS, BLS, and ACLS required.
