Orthopedic Surgery Technician - 4x10 Day Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift: 4x10 hour shifts (07:00 - 17:00). On-call required for 100 hours per 4-week schedule period, including weekends.

Job Description

The Orthopedic Surgery Technician is responsible for assisting in the operating room during orthopedic and spine surgeries. This role requires expertise in total joints, sports medicine, trauma, and spine procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in orthopedic surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile environment.
• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to provide high-quality patient care.
• Manage patient positioning and ensure comfort during procedures.
• Monitor and maintain surgical supplies and inventory.
• Participate in on-call rotations as required by the facility.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a surgical technician role.
• Experience in orthopedic surgery, specifically in total joints, sports medicine, trauma, and spine.
• BLS certification required.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is required.
