Job Description

The Operating Room of Surgery provides cardiac care to surgical and procedural sedation patients. We serve a diverse patient population including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and elderly patients, collaborating with various provider specialties to ensure optimal care for those going home the same day or being admitted to the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and transportation of patients for surgical interventions.
• Scrub for CVOR/Open Heart procedures, ensuring sterility and readiness of surgical instruments.
• Collaborate effectively with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain surgical environments, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• One (1) year of scrubbing experience for CVOR/Open Heart procedures required.
• Current documentation of certification to practice surgical technology in Oregon is required.
• Successful completion of a surgical technology education program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES, or completion of military or public health surgical technology training.
• 16 hours of continuing education every two (2) years relevant to the medical-surgical practice of surgical technology.
• Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
• Experience or training in computer applications is preferred.
