Certified Obstetric Technician - Day Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Obstetric Technician to join our team on a 13-week contract position. The role requires a commitment to providing high-quality support in the labor and delivery unit, with a patient-focused approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in various obstetric procedures including cesarean sections and hysterectomies.
• Maintain aseptic technique and ensure proper equipment documentation.
• Support labor and delivery processes, adhering to universal protocol and isolation precautions.
• Engage in specimen handling and labeling as necessary.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services and rapid response teams.

Required Experience / Certifications

• Minimum one year of experience as a Certified Obstetric Technician or related role.
• Current certifications including BLS and CST are required.
• Experience working with Epic charting system is preferred.

Schedule

This is a full-time position that operates on a 3x12-hour shift schedule, from 07:00 to 19:00. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend.
