Certified Surgical Technician - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position with night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00. Weekend coverage is required, every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Certified Surgical Technician to join our healthcare team. The position will support surgical procedures by assisting the surgical team, ensuring that the operating room is prepared, and maintaining a sterile environment. This technician will work in a collaborative setting and assist in various special procedures, with a focus on labor and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and handling of surgical instruments and supplies.
• Maintain a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures.
• Support the surgical team during procedures, anticipating needs and assisting where necessary.
• Adhere to established protocols for patient safety and infection control.

Required Experience / Certifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technician.
• Certification in Surgical Technology (CST) is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, patient care procedures, and safety protocols.
