Registered Nurse - Inpatient Rehabilitation

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts, specifically 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every third weekend and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Inpatient Rehabilitation department provides specialized care for adults and geriatric patients with rehabilitation needs. The candidate will work with patients recovering from conditions such as stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, and other neurological diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Interpret laboratory results and perform medication reconciliation.
• Conduct patient assessments, including health questionnaires and vital signs monitoring.
• Administer dressing changes and set up aseptic/sterile procedure trays.
• Perform phlebotomy and capillary blood draws.
• Engage in telephone triage and handle pharmacy aide calls and patient refill requests.
• Provide care in accordance with interdisciplinary team support from various hospital services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, specifically in acute care rehabilitation preferred.
• Active Registered Nurse license is required at the time of submission.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• EPIC charting system experience is required.
• Candidates must pass a Pass Fail EKG exam prior to starting.
