Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical / Telemetry

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30), every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting. This position requires strong clinical skills, the ability to handle a diverse patient population, and effective collaboration within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care with a focus on safety and quality.
• Monitor and assess patient health and progress, maintaining accurate records.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Utilize advanced telemetry equipment for monitoring patient vitals.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding health conditions and treatments.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Float to other units as required based on census demands.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required, with previous charge nurse experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Successful completion of a Pass Fail EKG exam during onboarding process.
