Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Telemetry

Day shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population primarily in the Medical Surgical Telemetry unit. The position requires a focus on EKG monitoring and management of various medical conditions including respiratory problems, diabetes, surgical recovery, and palliative care.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Manage and interpret telemetry readings, responding to changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding health management and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care.
• Document patient care and ensure compliance with established protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with preference for candidates with Medical Surgical Telemetry experience.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred.
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
• Proficient in EPIC charting system.
