Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans according to patients' needs and physician guidance. This role includes the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that allow patients to effectively return to community activities. The therapist will serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers while demonstrating behaviors aligned with the organization's Mission Statement and Core Values.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Document all patient care clearly and accurately in compliance with clinic policies and federal guidelines.
- Collaborate with students to create a positive learning environment, providing supervision and evaluations.
- Create and pursue an individualized professional development plan, including continuing education and self-study.
- Adhere to state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
- Engage in performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an Accredited School (Required)
- 1+ Year of Outpatient Clinical Experience (Required)
- CPR Certification (Required)
- Active state licensure for working in the designated location (Required)
- Previous experience with the agency is highly desired
