Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction. Responsibilities include the delegation and direction of therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of effective functional treatment programs for a successful return to community activities. This role also involves educating patients, families, students, coworkers, and self, while upholding the organization's mission statement and core values.
Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and use clinical reasoning to develop treatment plans and goals.
- Document medical records clearly, concisely, accurately, and timely, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
- Supervise students and provide a positive learning environment when participating in student programs.
- Engage in professional growth through continuing education, self-study, and involvement in professional organizations.
- Adhere to state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and provide feedback to enhance service quality.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
- 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Active and applicable state licensure.
- Previous assignments with the agency are highly desired.
