Outpatient Physical Therapist
Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. This role is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that allow effective returns to community activities. The Physical Therapist also serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves. Professionalism and adherence to compliance standards, safety protocols, and ethical practices are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
- Complete medical record documentation accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Participate in the student program by providing supervision and development of learning objectives.
- Create and pursue a professional development plan while adhering to discipline-specific state practice acts.
- Engage in performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with a 5x8.0 schedule.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
- Required licensure for the state in which work will be performed.
- 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience preferred.
- CPR certification is required.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
