Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to the patient’s needs, goals, and physician direction. This role is also responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients. The therapist ensures the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate an effective return to community activities while serving as an educator to patients, families, students, coworkers, and self. The role involves adhering to the organization's Mission Statement and Core Values, with a strong emphasis on compliance regarding patient confidentiality and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on progressing patients toward discharge.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and insurance requirements.
• Participate in the training and supervision of students, providing a positive learning environment.
• Actively pursue professional development through continuing education and engagement in relevant professional organizations.
• Ensure adherence to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Contribute to performance improvement initiatives and follow through with action plans aimed at enhancing service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience is required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and valid state licensure for Physical Therapy.
• Previous experience with Select Medical is a plus.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a 5x8.0 schedule starting at 8:00 AM.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
