Med Surg RN - Acute Surgical Unit

12-hour Night shift, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM

Job Description

Join a very fast-paced Acute Surgical Unit where you will have the opportunity to impact patient care significantly. As a Med Surg RN, you will play a crucial role in discharging 8-15 patients daily and admitting a similar number of patients from the Emergency Department, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, or direct admits. You will be supported by an Admission, Discharge, Transfer (ADT) nurse to ensure smooth patient flow within the unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Acute Surgical Unit.
• Manage the admission and discharge processes effectively.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions regularly.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN licensure.
• Experience in a surgical or medical-surgical unit preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
