Job Description

The Medical Surgical unit specializes in the care of acutely ill adults requiring both emergent and elective surgeries. Our registered nurses and nurse assistants provide the highest standards of professional care to Medical Surgical patients. Specialty certification in Medical Surgical Nursing is strongly encouraged and supported.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to acutely ill adult patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, providing support and interventions as necessary.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and recovery processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Healthcare Provider Level AHA BLS certification.
• NIHSS certification required.
