CT Technologist - Night Shift - Local Candidates Only

Schedule

This position is for a 4x10 schedule, working Monday to Thursday from 9:30 PM to 8:00 AM EST. On-call, callback, and holiday work may be required based on unit needs.

Job Description

The CT Technologist is responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging by performing CT scans while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role requires effective communication with both patients and physicians and entails thorough record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to the scan.
• Coordinate with physicians to deliver accurate diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure comfort.
• Insert IVs when necessary for tests and position patients accordingly, utilizing safe patient handling techniques.
• Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC, ensuring images are correctly identified and sent to the PACS system post-exam.
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Completion of formal training in an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• New York State licensure required prior to starting the position.
• Two (2) years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
• Injection certification preferred (must be willing to complete during orientation).
• Experience with Philips and Siemens equipment is preferred.
