CT Technologist Position

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified CT Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the scanning process. This position requires collaboration with physicians and meticulous attention to patient record keeping. The CT Technologist will maintain a clean and safe scanning environment, and may also be responsible for patient mobility and IV insertions as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide accurate diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedures to ensure comfort.
• Insert IVs when required for the patient's examination.
• Position patients safely, including those with limited mobility, using proper handling techniques.
• Maintain accurate patient records in EPIC and ensure images are sent to the PACS system after examinations.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment in the scanning facility.

Schedule

This position is scheduled for Monday through Thursday from 9:30 PM to 8:00 AM EST, with on-call duties and callbacks as needed, including holidays.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• New York State licensure (must be obtained prior to starting position).
• Minimum of two years of experience, preferably in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Injection certification is preferred and must be completed during the orientation process.
• Experience with Philips and Siemens imaging equipment is a plus.
