Telemetry Registered Nurse - Night Shift (Telemetry) - 13-26 Week Contract

This position is for Night Shift, with a 3x12-hour schedule from 18:45 to 07:15. Only 36 hours can be offered weekly.

Job Description

The Telemetry Registered Nurse will be responsible for monitoring cardiac patients, interpreting dysrhythmias, and managing cardiac drips. The nurse will also assist in pre and post-operative care for cardiac catheterization and surgeries, including sheath removals. Knowledge of accessing ports and blood product administration is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess cardiac patients in a telemetry setting.
• Interpret dysrhythmias and perform remote monitoring.
• Administer and manage medication including cardiac drips (e.g., Diltiazem, Amiodarone).
• Provide pre/post-operative care for cardiac catheterization and surgery.
• Perform sheath pulls and manage TR bands and Femstop post procedures.
• Float to other units as needed, maintaining a teamwork approach.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years experience in telemetry and progressive care (PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown).
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Charge experience preferred.
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start.
