Registered Nurse - Telemetry and PCU/DOU

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts, 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15), with required floating as needed. Candidates must be prepared to float every shift.

Job Description

The role involves providing exceptional nursing care in a telemetry unit, focusing on patients with cardiac conditions including congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and those undergoing pre/post cardiac procedures. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, interpreting dysrhythmias, administering medications, and performing bedside procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients on telemetry.
• Administer medications including cardiac drips under supervision.
• Perform pre/post cardiac catheterization care and sheath removal.
• Manage central lines and PICC lines.
• Provide patient education and support.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown nursing experience.
• ACLS certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• Experience interpreting dysrhythmias and remote monitoring.
