Registered Nurse - Telemetry (Cardiac)

Shift: 19:00 - 07:00

Weekend hours: Every other weekend

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Telemetry unit specializing in Cardiac care. The ideal candidate will work in a dynamic environment, providing high-quality patient care to a diverse population of generalized cardiac patients ranging from young adults to the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient vital signs and health status.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
• Assist with pre and post-care for cardiac catheterizations (both groin and radial).
• Document patient information in the Cerner electronic health record system.
• Occasionally float to Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), Neonatal Progressive Care Unit (NPCU), and/or Surgical as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a telemetry or cardiac unit.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Familiarity with Life Paks, Zoll, and Masimo equipment.
• Experience using Cerner EHR is preferred.
