Job Description

The Cardiac Catheterization Lab Nurse will work in both Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab settings, assisting in various cardiac procedures and patient care. This role includes administering medications, monitoring patients, and coordinating with medical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac procedures including stent placement, catheterizations, and IABP management.
• Administer and monitor medications such as antiarrhythmics, thrombolytics, and IV vasopressors.
• Conduct patient assessments and interpret 12 Lead EKGs.
• Assist with procedural sedation administration and monitoring.
• Participate in infection prevention protocols and adhere to safety guidelines.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab setting.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS.
• Proficient in cardiac procedures and medications relevant to the role.
• Must be open to float within the facility as needed.
