Cath Lab Surgical Technician

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift: 4x10 Hour days, 07:00 - 17:30, Monday to Friday. Call and weekend call are required.

Job Description

The Cath Lab Surgical Technician will provide surgical support in the Cath Lab setting, specifically with a focus on structural heart procedures. The candidate must have experience in scrub duties and a thorough understanding of relevant heart-related procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in complex procedural tasks such as balloon angioplasty, stent placement, and thrombectomy.
• Manage and monitor catheter placement and support devices like Impella.
• Maintain sterile fields and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to provide optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab setting specifically with structural heart scrub experience.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and at least one of the following: RCIS or ARRT.
• Proficient in telemetry, EKG rhythm interpretation, and conscious sedation.
• Experience with Watchman procedures, septal closure, and TAVR is preferred.
