Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Full-Time Evenings

This is a full-time position requiring evening shifts (5x7.5 hours) with every other weekend and holiday availability.

Job Description

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing high-quality care to residents in accordance with individualized care plans and facility policies. The CNA will ensure that residents' needs regarding activities of daily living (ADLs) are met in a safe and comfortable environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs, including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents, responding promptly to call lights and alarms.
• Support residents with nutritional needs, including meal delivery and feeding assistance, while honoring individual preferences.
• Assist with rehabilitative care, ensuring proper body alignment and use of assistive devices.
• Report any changes in residents' physical, emotional, or psychosocial status to the supervising nurse promptly.
• Follow protocols for documentation of care provided and any observations made.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid NYS Nursing Assistant Certification
• BLS certification through AHA or RQI only
• One year of experience in long-term care (LTC) or as a CNA
• High School Diploma or GED
