Schedule

Part Time Days and Evening shifts, to be scheduled as needed by the client (2x8s/3x8s), including every other weekend and holidays.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing care to residents, ensuring their needs are met in accordance with the plan of care and relevant policies and procedures. The CNA promotes a safe, clean, and comforting environment while attending to the health and well-being of residents.

Responsibilities

• Meet resident's Activities of Daily Living (ADL) needs, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, promptly responding to call lights and alarms while monitoring equipment.
• Support resident's nutritional needs and preferences during meal delivery and feeding.
• Assist with rehabilitative needs such as range of motion exercises, ambulation, and transfers.
• Report changes in resident's physical, emotional, and psychosocial status to nursing staff in a timely manner.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or RQI specifically).
• One (1) year of previous Long-Term Care (LTC) experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED must be obtained.
