Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) - Part Time

Job Description

Under the direction of licensed nursing personnel, the Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) performs direct and indirect resident care as outlined in the plan of care. The role includes supporting residents with their activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensuring their overall comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

• Meet residents' ADL needs as outlined in the care plan, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and mobility assistance.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents, including prompt responses to call lights and alarms.
• Assist in meeting residents' nutritional needs, including meal preparation and feeding.
• Support residents' rehabilitative needs through proper positioning, ambulation, and use of assistive devices.
• Report any concerns regarding residents' rights and changes in their physical and emotional status to the nursing team.
• Adhere to safety protocols regarding potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• One year of experience in long-term care (LTC) or CNA capacity is required.

Schedule

Part Time position with a rotational shift schedule (2 shifts/3 shifts) available for day or night shifts. Must be able to start full-shift orientation on a Tuesday or Thursday.
