Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team on the night shift. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality care to residents in a long-term care setting, assisting them with their daily living needs while ensuring their safety and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living needs including hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and skin care as per care plans.
- Maintain resident safety and the environment by responding to call lights, using safety equipment, and preventing falls.
- Support residents during meal times by delivering trays, assisting with feeding, and honoring food preferences.
- Assist with mobility and rehabilitation needs including range of motion, walking, transfers, and proper positioning.
- Take and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Measure and record weight as well as intake and output.
- Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes for residents.
- Provide social and emotional support through interaction and companionship.
- Report concerns or changes regarding residents to the nursing staff promptly.
- Complete required documentation in a timely manner following established protocols.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- MUST possess a valid New York State Nursing Assistant Certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a licensed CNA in a long-term care setting.
- BLS certification (must be through AHA or RQI).
Schedule
This is a full-time position requiring 5 shifts of 7.5 hours each, specifically from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including every other weekend and holiday.
