Night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the emergency department, with pediatric exposure preferred. This role involves interacting with a diverse patient population ranging from newborns to geriatrics, and addressing various critical conditions including stroke, sepsis, trauma, and cardiac emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Utilize advanced equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
• Participate in triage and manage acute and critical patients effectively.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience with some pediatric experience.
• Current and valid RN licenses, including active New York State license.
• Up-to-date certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (TNCC must be in hand).
• Documented travel experience is required.
• Experience with EPIC EMR system is mandatory.
