Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) - Part Time Evenings
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our team on a part-time basis. The CNA will provide essential support to our residents, ensuring their comfort and meeting their healthcare needs under the guidance of licensed nursing personnel. This role requires the ability to deliver direct and indirect care, while demonstrating knowledge of appropriate practices for the adult and geriatric patient population.
Responsibilities
- Assist with residents’ activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting needs.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents by maintaining cleanliness and addressing safety concerns promptly.
- Meet nutritional needs by assisting with meal delivery, preparation, and supporting residents during feeding.
- Support residents’ rehabilitative needs through routines such as range of motion, ambulation, and transfers.
- Report any changes in residents’ physical or emotional status to nursing staff promptly.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain awareness of occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- NYS Nursing Assistant Certification is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or RQI only).
- Minimum of one year of experience in Long Term Care (LTC) in a CNA capacity.
Schedule
This is a part-time position requiring evening shifts, including every other weekend. The candidate must be able to start their schedule on a Tuesday or Thursday for full shift orientation.
