Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Full Time

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Full-time, Day and Night shifts as needed by schedule, 37.5 hours/week, every other weekend & holidays required, 5x7.5.

Job Description

Under the direction of licensed nursing personnel, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs direct and indirect designated resident care within the scope of practice as defined by certification. The CNA must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served, including adult and geriatric groups.

Responsibilities

• Meet residents' Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) needs as outlined in the care plan.
• Maintain residents' safety and cleanliness of unit, including responding to call lights promptly.
• Assist with residents' nutritional needs, including meal delivery and adaptive equipment usage.
• Support residents' rehabilitative needs as described in the care plan, including range of motion and proper body alignment.
• Report residents' rights, refusals, and changes in physical, emotional, and psychosocial status to the Charge Nurse.
• Practice safety protocols in compliance with health standards while managing occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification is required.
• BLS certification (AHA/RQI only) is required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in Long Term Care (LTC) or as a CNA is required.
