Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) - Part Time Nights
Schedule
Must be available for full-shift orientation on a Tuesday or Thursday. This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule, requiring two shifts one week and three shifts the following week, including weekends.
Job Description
Under the direction of licensed nursing personnel, the Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) performs direct and indirect designated resident care within the scope of practice as defined by certification. The CNA must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care across the lifespan, with a focus on adult and geriatric patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as outlined in the care plan, ensuring hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting needs are met.
- Maintain safety and cleanliness of the resident environment according to policies and procedures.
- Support residents' nutritional needs by assisting with meal delivery, preparation, and feeding.
- Meet residents' rehabilitative needs including range of motion, ambulation, and proper body alignment.
- Report residents' rights, concerns, and changes in physical or emotional status to the charge nurse in a timely manner.
- Adhere to safety protocols related to occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- NYS Nursing Assistant Certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA/RQI) required.
- Must have at least one year of experience in a long-term care (LTC) setting as a CNA.
