Part Time Nights with a rotation of 3 shifts and 2 shifts per week, including every other weekend and holidays.

Job Description

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for meeting the daily living and comfort needs of residents within a long-term care facility. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, ensuring a safe environment, and adhering to protocols for the care and well-being of each resident.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as outlined in individual care plans.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment, responding promptly to call lights and alarms.
• Meet residents’ nutritional needs, including meal delivery and assisting with feeding as necessary.
• Implement rehabilitative and restorative activities as per care plans, promoting mobility and comfort.
• Report any changes in resident condition to the Charge Nurse promptly.
• Adhere to protocols regarding occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens and ensure safety procedures are followed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold a valid New York State Nursing Assistant Certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• One year of previous experience in long-term care (LTC) is required.
• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
