Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) to provide high-quality care to critically ill patients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, have a solid background in ICU nursing, and possess a commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and provide treatment as prescribed.
• Perform advanced nursing procedures, including intubations and central line placements.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding health status and ongoing care.
• Participate in unit-specific tasks such as documentation using Meditech.
• Adhere to floating guidelines and management policies as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active TX RN License (Temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• Minimum of 2-3 years of ICU experience
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Certification
