ARMStaffing is looking for a Certified Surgical Technologist, Operating Room (Day Shift) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Day shift from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, with a weekend call requirement of 2 weekends in a 6-week period and 6 weekdays on call during the same timeframe. Holidays require 1 on-call holiday and 1 work holiday.

Job Description

As a Certified Surgical Technologist in a Level 1 Trauma Center Operating Room, you will work primarily with orthopedic, neurological, transplant, and vascular cases, with specific emphasis on scrubbing total joints. Experience in these areas is essential. The position requires familiarity with the Cerner charting system.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgeries, ensuring a sterile environment.
• Prepare and maintain equipment and surgical instruments.
• Work collaboratively with surgical teams and other medical staff.
• Manage inventory and supply levels in the operating room.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical technologist role.
• Experience in scrubbing total joint surgeries, along with experience in neuro, transplant, and vascular procedures.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS certification.
• Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) is required.
