Surgical Technologist - Operating Room

Schedule

This is a PM shift position requiring 4 × 10-hour shifts per week, amounting to 40 hours/week. Shifts will be rotating, including days, evenings, and nights, with weekend call required.

Job Description

The position involves working in a high-paced operating room environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various surgical specialties, including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, Trauma, Robotics (specifically DaVinci for cardiac procedures), and Transplant. Candidates should be comfortable with varying schedules and have experience with Level 1 Trauma cases.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
• Maintain sterile environments and assist in the preparation of surgical instruments.
• Manage in-house call responsibilities with a required response time of 30 minutes.
• Utilize in-house call rooms as needed during on-call shifts.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the operating room, with a preference for 3 years.
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma center (at least 1 year out of the last 3).
• Minimum of 1 year of travel experience in the last 3 years.
• Strong skills in General Surgery, Orthopedics (total joints), Neurosurgery (Crani & Spine), Vascular Surgery, Trauma, Robotics, and Transplant.
• Can NOT be a previous regular employee of the facility.
