Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide specialized respiratory care for patients in the ICU, ER, and nursery settings, including pediatrics. Responsibilities include attending high-risk deliveries and being part of the resuscitation team for newborns and critically ill pediatric patients. The role requires familiarity with various ventilators and documentation using the EPIC system.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care for adult and pediatric patients, including intubation and mechanical ventilation.
• Participate as a member of the resuscitation team during high-risk deliveries.
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments as prescribed.
• Utilize equipment such as Drager V500 and Hamilton T-1 ventilators, neopuff, and Airvo high-flow oxygen systems.
• Document patient care and interventions within the EPIC system.
• Coordinate and float to various units within the hospital as needed.

Required Experience

• Greater than 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
• Experience working in the ICU, ER, and nursery settings, including care for pediatric patients.
• Strong assessment skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Certifications/Licensure

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS.
