Night Shift, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be a Registered Respiratory Therapist with extensive experience in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Emergency Room (ER), and Nursery (level 1). The role requires involvement in high-risk C-sections and participation as part of the resuscitation team. The candidate should be adept in providing care for pediatric patients requiring intubation and mechanical ventilation, as well as working with adult patients. Familiarity with equipment including Drager V500, Hamilton T-1 ventilators, Neopuff, and proficiency in the EPIC documentation system is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy care to patients across the hospital, including newborns and critically ill pediatric patients.
• Attend and assist in high-risk deliveries and participate in resuscitation efforts.
• Utilize ventilators and high-flow oxygen devices as required for patient care.
• Document all patient interactions and treatments in the EPIC system.
• Float to different units within the hospital as needed.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working in an ICU and ER setting.
• Experience in a neonatal care environment and adult ICU.
• Demonstrated ability to handle high-risk scenarios with effective assessment skills.

Certifications/Licensure

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
