Schedule

Shifts are from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, including every other weekend and participation in the call rotation (approximately one call shift per month).

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will be responsible for providing respiratory care to a diverse patient population, including acute, critical care, and pediatric patients. The RRT will work as part of a team and must be flexible, with strong communication skills to meet the varied needs of the department.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and manage ventilators.
• Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to care plans.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Participate in patient education and advocacy.
• Ensure compliance with established protocols and safety standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a tertiary, teaching hospital setting.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred; NRP for NICU.
• Skills in NICU/PICU, acute care pediatrics, and adult acute and critical care.
