Schedule/Shift

5x8s, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM (Monday - Friday) with weekend rotation may be required.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for the decontamination, sterilization, and assembly of surgical instruments and equipment. The position is critical in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sterilization practices to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments and equipment.
• Assemble and wrap instrument sets in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor and maintain sterilization equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Document sterilization processes and outcomes accurately.
• Support various surgical specialties including Neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, and Transplant.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Sterile Processing.
• Level 1 Trauma experience is required.
• Previous experience with sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrapping of surgical instruments.

Certifications/Licensure

• National certification such as CBSPD and/or HSPA is required.
• Current licensure in South Carolina preferred, must comply with local regulations.
