ARMStaffing is looking for a Sterile Processing Technician, Sterile Processing (Evening Shift) in North Charleston, South Carolina.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This position requires a schedule of 5x8 hours with evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a potential for weekend rotation and holiday coverage.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for the sterilization, decontamination, assembly, and wrapping of surgical instruments and equipment. This role requires experience in handling various case types, including neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN. The technician will work in a Level I Trauma Center that is also a teaching facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization and decontamination procedures for surgical instruments.
• Assemble, wrap, and prepare instrument sets for surgical procedures.
• Maintain proper documentation for sterilization processes according to facility standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
• Float to sister facilities as needed to meet operational requirements.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing, including sterilization and decontamination.
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• National certification: CBSPD and/or HSPA required.
