5x8s, 15:00 - 23:30; rotating weekends and holiday rotation required.

Job Description

As a Sterile Processing Tech, you will be responsible for the sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrapping of sterile instruments and supplies in a Level I Trauma Center. You will work closely with surgical teams to ensure that all instruments are properly sterilized and ready for use in various procedures, including neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization and decontamination of surgical instruments.
• Assemble and wrap instrument trays according to established protocols.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization processes.
• Participate in training and continuing education related to sterile processing techniques.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center.
• Proficiency in sterilization and decontamination processes.

Certifications/Licensure

• National Certification: CBSPD and/or HSPA required.
• BLS certification preferred but not required.
