Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

The position requires working Day Shift from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, along with call duty once a week and one weekend every six weeks.

Job Description

The Certified Scrub Tech will support general and gynecological surgeries in a fast-paced operating room environment. This role includes preparing the surgical instruments and ensuring sterile conditions are maintained throughout the procedure. The position also requires effective communication with the surgical team to assist in delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures by ensuring the availability of necessary instruments and equipment.
• Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgeries, anticipating their needs effectively.
• Maintain a sterile field during procedures, adhering to infection control standards.
• Handle and pass instruments to the surgical team as directed.
• Participate in the post-operative cleanup and preparation for subsequent surgeries.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Certified Scrub Tech role, specifically in General and GYN surgery.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a high-pressure surgical environment.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
