Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Stepdown/Med Surg unit, addressing diagnoses such as respiratory issues, weakness, urinary tract infections, acute kidney injury, and chest pain. The unit consists of 20 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 in Stepdown and 1:5-6 on the floor. RNs will utilize the EPIC charting system and work collaboratively with a team, including respiratory therapists and nurse aides.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and intravenous therapies according to protocols.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting significant findings.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide patient education and support to facilitate recovery.
- Perform vital sign checks and other routine patient assessments.
Required Experience
Candidates must have previous experience in a Stepdown or Med Surg setting.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
